Ever since I was a little girl I wanted to be an artist. I started doing calligraphy in the early 80's. I went into partnership with my in-laws in 1986, under the name of "Grubbies". We exhibited in all the major wholesale gift markets and also CBA, which was the market for Christian Book Stores. In 2000 we closed our corporation and I continued my business under the name "for His glory". I sell my creations in a few stores still and also on my web site cindygrubb.com. I really love "my job". I also have illustrated 2 books for Harvest House. One was "Sunnyside Up", a small breakfast cookbook, and I illustrated an Emilie Barnes "Simply Dinner "cookbook. My favorite thing to do is my yearly scripture calendar. 2018 is my 35th edition. In December 2017 I had a quadruple bypass. It was an awakening & I also feelt like God gave me a second chance to keep creating inspirational artwork. My customers are truly inspiring & keep me motivated.
My greatest joy is my 3 wonderful children. Annie, my first born and best friend. Whom also gave me 4 beautiful grandchildren Emma, Kate, Mae, & Bentz. Mikey, my middle child and free spirit. My youngest is Ben, who now is 34, he has Down's . They are my inspiration. I love the Lord and hope my art brings "Him the glory He deserves."
